Frequently Asked Questions

General

What is needlepoint?

Needlepoint is a form of hand embroidery stitched on canvas mesh using decorative fibers and threads. Our canvases are designed to be hand-stitched and finished into keepsakes, gifts, home décor, and heirloom-quality accessories.

Are your canvases hand-painted?

Our needlepoint canvases are professionally printed to capture the beauty and detail of Anne Neilson’s original artwork while making the designs more accessible to stitchers of all levels.

Are your designs beginner-friendly?

Yes! We offer a variety of skill levels. Simpler designs with larger color areas are excellent for beginners, while more detailed canvases are ideal for experienced stitchers. Larger mesh sizes (13 mesh, 14 mesh) are recommended for beginners.

I’m new to needlepoint — where should I start?

Some designs may include stitch suggestions or inspiration. Unless specifically stated, comprehensive stitch guides are not included.

Do you provide stitch guides?

We recommend starting with smaller canvases or ornaments on 13 mesh canvas. These are easier to stitch and finish and make excellent beginner projects.

Can you recommend a local needlepoint store?

We encourage supporting your local needlepoint shop for threads, stitching help, and finishing services. We love Po's Point in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Do you offer finishing services?

At this time, we do not offer in-house finishing services.

Where are your designs created?

Every design begins with original artwork inspired by Anne Neilson’s paintings, faith, and watercolor collections. Each canvas is thoughtfully adapted for needlepoint stitching.

Where are your products manufactured?

Our products are manufactured both locally and globally. We carefully select our manufacturing partners to ensure our products are high quality and a fair value.

Do you offer wholesale?

Yes! We love partnering with retailers and needlepoint shops. Please contact sales@anneneilsonhome.com to inquire.
